Stenhamra School and Skå School are a joint unit with educational and leisure activities for approximately 550 students from preschool to grade 6. The schools are located on Färingsö in Stenhamra and Skå, surrounded by beautiful nature and with good bus connections. Stenhamra School is a K-6 school with about 460 students. Skå School is a K-3 school with about 75 students. We believe in collegial learning and purposeful investments. Our vision: Together we learn for life! Job Description

In Ekerö Municipality, teachers have time for the children and teaching – today we are one of Sweden's leading school municipalities. Our surroundings are perfect for connecting to parts of the curriculum with our rich nature and cultural history. To give students the best conditions, our municipal schools continuously share experiences and lessons with each other. Here, we see collegial learning as a prerequisite for students' development.

During the school year, the work involves a grade 3 class. As a teacher in the grade, you will be a mentor for a class and work as a team with other teachers and educators in leisure activities. You will work closely with colleagues, special education teachers, student health, and guardians.

Your work includes teaching with planning, implementation, and evaluation in several subjects. You adapt the teaching based on students' needs and create a safe, structured, and predictable learning environment.

We place great value on your experience as a teacher. Our belief is that children do the right thing if they can, and we start from finding sustainable and developing solutions together with the student.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you are a teacher who:

  • Has good competence to teach students in grades 1-3.
  • Is responsible and secure in your professional role.
  • Is naturally self-driven and motivated to be part of the school's work with safety and study peace.
  • Sees the importance of building trusting relationships with students as well as with guardians.
  • Is well acquainted with working with grades and assessments.
  • Participates in the school's professional development and works for collegial learning.
  • Contributes your ideas and is involved in the school's various development areas.
  • Can express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing.

We also hope that you meet the following qualifications:

  • Are a qualified teacher and have a degree/teaching license for younger students.
  • Have a good ability to take responsibility for, plan, implement, and follow up on teaching.
  • Understand the importance of the teaching you conduct being creative and stimulating while also being based on proven experience and research.

We value your sense of responsibility and collaboration skills, your attention to detail, and your care for students, as well as your cheerful and positive demeanor.

Start date: 2026-03-02
Scope: Part-time 75%
Employment form: Fixed-term, temporary position until 2026-06-19. With the possibility of permanent employment.
