Herresta preschools consist of four preschools: Barken, Draken, Parkvägen, and Viggen. All preschools are centrally located in the growing and vibrant Barkarbystaden. Our preschools are integrated into multi-family houses, have their own yards, and at the same time have close access to nature.

We are now looking for a preschool teacher for Barkens preschool, which from March 9, 2026, will consist of four departments and an Open preschool activity on the lower floor. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the collaboration between the two operations.

At all our preschools, we work project-oriented and with a focus on language development methods. Several members of the staff are trained in TAKK (sign language support) and Före Bornholm. This gives us good conditions to support each child's linguistic and communicative development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a preschool teacher who wants to further develop an operation with colleagues.

With us, you will have a central role in creating a safe, challenging, and inspiring environment. Together with your team, you will communicate and collaborate to build pedagogical environments that stimulate children's development, curiosity, and desire to learn. We always start from each child's unique circumstances and work purposefully based on the intentions of the curriculum.

As a preschool teacher, you will organize the work with a holistic perspective where teaching is systematically followed up, documented, and analyzed to ensure high quality. You will continuously reflect both independently and together with colleagues and keep yourself updated on research and external factors that can enrich teaching and develop the operations.

We are looking for you who:

• Leadership: is a pedagogical leader for the team who leads, motivates, creates participation, and conditions for collegial learning.
• Relationship-building: is outgoing and socially active in professional contexts. Contacts children and guardians and can build and maintain a trusting relationship.
• Structured: plans, organizes, and prioritizes work effectively. Sets and adheres to deadlines.
• Cultural awareness: understands how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others. Aware of how one's own values influence and guide one's actions and reactions.

Requirements:

• Higher education degree.
• Preschool teacher license.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working in preschool.
• Training in Före Bornholm.
• Training in TAKK.
• Experience in outdoor education or learning for sustainable development.
