JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Since the summer of 2025, Kommerskollegium has been the emergency preparedness authority with sector responsibility for the new sector of foreign trade. In our work to develop our new tasks, we need reinforcement in the form of a temporary position. As an emergency preparedness officer in the administrative unit, you will have a supportive function towards management, managers, and employees within the authority's emergency preparedness work and security protection. Your expertise will be important in further developing the authority's work related to both of these areas.

Your role includes independently and collaboratively planning, implementing, and following up on the authority's emergency preparedness planning, as well as working on issues related to the authority's security protection efforts. You will contribute with analyses, risk assessments, suggest improvements and development activities, and prepare proposals for governing documents to support the operations. You will also assist in planning and conducting internal training and exercises.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university or higher education, preferably with a focus on crisis preparedness, civil security, security protection, or other education and experience that we consider equivalent.

You have solid experience in emergency preparedness planning within total defense and good knowledge of the regulations related to these areas. We consider it an advantage if you have completed training focused on preparedness and security protection at the Swedish Defence University or other equivalent educational institutions deemed comparable by the employer. Experience working on these issues at a government agency is also seen as an advantage.

As a person, you are attentive, listen well, and are appreciated for your smooth collaboration style. You have a solution-oriented focus in your work, drive tasks forward, and complete them with good results. It is also important for the job that you have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, can grasp complex issues, understand them, and draw conclusions about the best way forward.

The position is classified in a security class and requires Swedish citizenship. A security screening with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
