We are now looking for a new colleague to our unit. We are seeking a qualified vocational teacher for the Automotive and Transport Program with a focus on passenger cars. If you have several years of experience in the automotive workshop and are ready for the next step in your career, this is a path - as you can obtain the necessary qualifications within the framework of an educational plan established upon employment.

As an Automotive Teacher, you will play a vital role in our vocational education, where you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing instruction within the automotive program. Since we are an apprenticeship school where students have at least 50% practical training, the position entails close contact with the students' workplaces and supervisors, and relatively little independent teaching compared to a traditional high school education - as students primarily receive their training directly at the workplace.

It is important that you have good contacts or the ability to create a network with companies and industry professionals, as you will be responsible for securing workplace learning (APL).

You will belong to a team with other vocational teachers, and collaboration between programs is seen as a success factor.

• Plan and conduct theoretical and practical lessons

• Assess, document, and follow up on students' knowledge development according to curricula and local goals, linked to school moments and three-party conversations to ensure assessment and knowledge development during APL.

• Develop teaching materials and workplace-based learning (APL) in collaboration with local companies.

• Participate in planning program structure, interdisciplinary projects, and vocational examinations

• Follow applicable safety procedures in workshops and educational facilities and actively contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment

• Engaged and clear in your teaching

• Problem-solving with a practical approach

• Structured and meticulous in documentation and follow-up

More than half of the training time is spent as workplace-based learning (APL), which gives our students practical experience, confidence in their professional role, and an advantage in the job market. ScopeThe position is a permanent full-time (100%) position upon qualification. There is an opportunity for part-time work. Employment begins by agreement.

QualificationsYou have a vocational teacher's degree with qualifications to teach in the program. Other teaching qualifications are meritorious. You are trained as an automotive technician/mechanic or have equivalent education. You have documented experience from the industry. If you lack a vocational teacher's degree, you are expected to obtain that qualification within the framework of an educational plan established upon employment.
