The Bridge is the unit responsible for refugee reception and mapping the school background of newly arrived students in their mother tongue. We work to ensure that all newly arrived students receive an equivalent introduction and can participate in regular education as quickly as possible. The Bridge organizes and provides study guidance and mother tongue instruction in 20 different languages to the municipality's schools.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The assignment consists of mother tongue instruction and study guidance in primary and secondary schools. The assignment includes planning and implementing teaching as well as assessment, follow-up, and grading. Ongoing contact with guardians is also part of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal competencies:

• A mother tongue teacher education or other pedagogical education is required for the assignment.
• Teacher certification in the relevant area is an advantage.
• You have experience in pedagogical work and can work with digital tools as well as in administrative programs.
• You have Vietnamese as your mother tongue and can speak, read, and write fluently in Swedish.
• It is an advantage if you can also teach Swedish.

Personal competencies:

• You organize and plan your work well, work according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set timelines and meet deadlines.
• You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and of people's different conditions. You adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient.
• You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.
