About the Position

As a treatment assistant, you will work to create safety and a calm environment for the youth, as well as perform some practical tasks that occur at the residence. Our work is based on environmental therapy and relies on close teamwork, where everyone contributes to promoting development for the youth and their families, whether the work is done during the day or at night.

The position is 100% and includes some evening shifts, but you have the option to reduce your working hours by a maximum of 20% if you wish.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• create safety and a calm environment for the youth at night
• perform certain practical tasks at the residence
• be involved in the work with the youth's implementation plans

About the Workplace

OT Group is a residential care home for youth aged 13 to 18 who need social support and psychological treatment. We have 15 places in environmental therapy, of which 9 are residential care places and 6 are in structured outpatient care. The treatment is organized based on mentalization-based environmental therapy and is founded on a psychodynamic perspective. Environmental therapy is based on a process-oriented and structured working model. We are located in nice premises in Karlslund, and you will be welcomed by a safe and experienced team consisting of social workers, therapists, and treatment assistants.

Qualifications

In the role of treatment assistant, you should be secure and stable in yourself and have a good ability to understand others' perspectives and situations without losing your professional integrity. You take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach, and drive your processes forward. We see that you are clear and have good communication skills since contact with the youth is an important part of the work. It is also important that you have a responsive and flexible manner towards your colleagues. You must master the Swedish language well enough to communicate with other staff and document what the organization requires.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• completed upper secondary education
• 2-year post-secondary education, treatment assistant/social pedagogue, or other education deemed equivalent
• Driving license for manual transmission

Meritorious:

• experience in similar work with youth in residential care
• knowledge of treatment work based on psychodynamic theory
• experience working nights

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent position

Employment rate: 100% with the possibility of reduction to 80% if desired

Start date: March 1 or by agreement

Number of positions: 1

Working hours: Night and occasional evenings
