Adult Caseworker at Adult Assistance

The Social Committee's Department for Individuals and Families consists of Adult Assistance, the Family Unit, Financial Support, and Open Care. For us, quality and legal security are our main focus, and we continuously work on development efforts to enable good interventions for children, youth, and adults.

At Adult Assistance, we handle the authority's operations concerning adult substance abusers and individuals who have been subjected to violence in close relationships. The unit also employs caseworkers for the elderly and LSS caseworkers. Job responsibilities also include follow-up on interventions. We are a total of about 14 people working within Adult Assistance. The adult group should consist of three employees, and we are now looking for the third caseworker.

The work requires good communication skills, which means that you can express yourself clearly and structured in both speech and writing. You have support in your role from colleagues, coordinators, and the unit manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an adult caseworker, your job will be to investigate, assess, and make decisions according to SoL and LVM in cases primarily concerning substance abuse and/or violence in close relationships. You will follow and be responsible for your cases during the time an intervention may be ongoing. You will have close cooperation with other actors around the individual, such as internal open care, financial support, assistance, and LSS caseworkers, institutions, healthcare, and other partners. Your assignment also includes participating in the unit's development work. There is currently a development effort based on the new Social Services Act.

You are prepared to meet people from different backgrounds who need support in a difficult life situation. This requires personal maturity, competence, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize and make decisions. You are responsible, can work both independently and together with colleagues.

Training in MI, ASI, FREDA is meritorious.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Social Work or another equivalent education.

• Preferably previous experience in investigation and case management of adults according to SoL and LVM.
• Driver's license for manual transmission.
• Good knowledge of documentation.
• Good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

For work as a social worker, a police record extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record must be presented.
