Summer Substitute in Support Services
We are now looking for you who want to work as a summer substitute in support services group homes, service homes, and personal assistance.
The job is suitable for you who are interested in intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health, and want a social job where you help other people in their daily lives. Our various operations are located in Frövi, Vedevåg, Lindesberg, Gusselby, and Guldsmedshyttan.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The job responsibilities involve supporting individuals in their daily lives with activities such as leisure activities, social contacts, cleaning, cooking, and personal care. Since we base our work on the individual's needs, the tasks can range from supporting individuals to perform parts or all tasks themselves to you as staff practically performing parts or all tasks.
The need for care varies between group homes and service homes. As a personal assistant, you support an individual in their home. We offer you, as a newcomer, an introduction where you can shadow experienced colleagues to feel secure in the assignment.
You will work in a rewarding and stimulating work environment, where the focus is to help the individual with varying tasks based on their needs.
The work is scheduled and includes daytime, evenings, weekends, and possibly on-call duty or night work. We strive to offer you a schedule based on your preferences and how much you want to work. For those who want to work during the spring, there will be opportunities for hourly employment. There will also be a chance for you to continue working as a substitute after the summer.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must be at least 18 years old and interested in working with people. It is desirable that you have education in a caring profession or have started such education, for example, as a nursing assistant, caregiver, or preschool teacher.
Experience working in services for individuals with intellectual, physical, or mental disabilities is an advantage. As a person, we want you to focus on the individual and have an easy time collaborating. You should master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with residents, relatives, and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. We would also like you to have a B driver's license for a manual transmission, as most of our operations require it.
If you are considered for employment, you will need to present an extract from the criminal record: "Extract for work with children with disabilities".
