Administrator for the Forensic Psychiatric Examination Unit in Gothenburg
At the National Board of Forensic Medicine, you have the opportunity to practice your profession while contributing with answers in the legal chain and creating a legally secure society together with your colleagues.
The National Board of Forensic Medicine has received two new assignments – to carry out risk assessments on behalf of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service regarding conditional release and to conduct special risk investigations regarding security sentences on behalf of the court. The assignments will take effect on January 1, 2026, and March 1, 2026, respectively. The organization and structure of the operation will be shaped over the next year together with the clients and employees. To meet an increased number of cases and new tasks, we are now recruiting several new employees.
We are now looking for an administrator for the Forensic Psychiatric Examination Unit in Gothenburg.
Your Assignment
As an administrator, you will be part of a group of eight administrators led by a group manager, and you will work closely with other professional groups. The work requires quick and efficient deliveries as well as flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The work includes various administrative tasks within the framework of the agency's operations, such as case management, transcription, registration, and administration. The work is sometimes conducted at a fast pace.
The administrator plays an important role in the investigation process with preparatory contacts via phone and email with the court, drafting, and proofreading. In addition, the work includes archiving and disposal of documents.
Qualifications
- We are looking for someone who is a trained administrator or has other equivalent work experience that the employer considers relevant for the position.
- You have relevant professional experience in administrative work, such as case management within public administration. Since proofreading and transcription are part of the job, it is important to have good knowledge of the Swedish language both orally and in writing. This is also crucial as administrators often represent the agency externally and are responsible for communication and service towards other authorities and entities. You have an easy time understanding new systems and technical solutions, and you see digital tools as a natural support in your work.
Meritorious
- Experience working within the justice system or public sector.
Personal Qualities and Abilities
As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You find it easy to collaborate with others and are efficient and responsible. You should have a good ability to plan and organize your work and be open to changes and new working methods.
As an administrator, you need to be quality-conscious and service-oriented, take initiative, and be interested in developing administrative tasks. You have good problem-solving skills and can quickly familiarize yourself with complex tasks. Since the work can sometimes be demanding with rapidly changing and varied tasks, you need to be flexible and have a high administrative capacity.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Employment
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period, with a start date according to agreement and placement at the Forensic Psychiatric Examination Unit in Gothenburg.
Depending on the needs of the operation, there is the possibility to enter into an individual agreement regarding remote work for part of the working time.
The National Board of Forensic Medicine applies individual salary setting.
RMV is part of the legal chain, and we place high demands on employees' judgment and security thinking as well as respect for law and order. We conduct a background check by checking the criminal record before employment. RMV applies a competency-based recruitment process where psychological tests, knowledge tests, or work samples may occur. Before hiring licensed health and medical care personnel, checks are carried out with the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Health and Social Care Inspectorate.
Upon employment at the National Board of Forensic Medicine, there is an obligation to be placed in a war position.
Do you also want to contribute to a legally secure society? Welcome with your application by February 2, 2026. Certificates and other documents should be brought to a possible interview.
