Care Assistants and Support Workers at Odvalds in Klintehamn

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

Odvalds

We are pleased to announce that we are now opening a new special accommodation in Klintehamn and are looking for dedicated care assistants and support workers who want to help develop our operations.

With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our elderly, in an environment where quality and care are at the center.

The workplace offers modern, bright, and well-planned facilities equipped with the latest technology to facilitate work and enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Odvalds special accommodation is beautifully located near both forest, sea, and community. There are departments for both somatic care and dementia care, providing a varied and developing work environment.

We are now looking for two new employees primarily for our dementia department.

Your Responsibilities

The role includes standard care tasks such as personal care, household chores, medication administration, and other delegated health and social care (HSL) interventions. You will also contribute to an active and social life through companionship and activities. Palliative care is also a natural and important part of our work, where we provide support with care and professionalism to both the individual and their relatives.

We work based on Individual Needs in Center (IBIC), which means that we always start from each person's unique circumstances, needs, and wishes. The role also includes being a contact person, where you are responsible for establishing and following up on implementation plans, documenting, communicating with relatives, and handling some administration.

You will work closely with the unit manager, nurse, and rehabilitation staff – together we create good care and support with the individual in focus.

The work is scheduled for daytime, evening, and every other weekend.

Who Are You?

We primarily seek those who are trained care assistants. To be employed as a care assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations.

As a support worker, you should have completed a secondary education. It is advantageous to have some form of training focused on care and support, such as a care aide. We prefer candidates who have previously worked in care professions and/or elderly care and have experience in dementia care.

As a person, you are secure and stable, both in yourself and in your professional role. You have the ability to work independently and in an organized manner, but also to collaborate and build good relationships with colleagues, care recipients, and relatives. Your flexibility allows you to see changes and challenges as something developing, and you remain calm even in pressured situations. With good judgment, maturity, and initiative, you contribute to a professional and warm approach.

Since both documentation and communication occur in Swedish, it is important that you have a good command of the language in both speech and writing.

Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. Read more here (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/kontrollera-dina-uppgifter-i-belastningsregistret/).

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability according to the competencies described above.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Welcome with your application!
