Avincis Aviation Sweden is seeking HEMS Technical Crew (HTC) for the ambulance helicopter in Visby and Stockholm. The ambulance helicopter is staffed by a pilot, HTC, and an anesthetic nurse/doctor and is on standby 24/7 throughout the year. We expect you to be an enthusiastic, well-organized team player with good social skills and experience in pre-hospital care.
Job Responsibilities
In your role as HTC, you will assist the pilot during startup, flight, landing, with checklists, and securing the helicopter and landing site. Once at the accident site, the tasks shift from the more technically oriented flying role to taking care of and assisting patients together with medical personnel. Everyone's competence in the crew is important and often decisive. The HTC, with their medical knowledge and basic flight training (which we provide), forms an essential link between the pilot and the medical staff.
About the Company
Avincis Aviation Sweden is one of the largest air ambulance companies in the Nordics, and our fleet includes both ambulance helicopters and air ambulances. We have bases in Gothenburg, Visby, Norrtälje, Uppsala, Karolinska Solna, Östersund, Mariehamn (Åland), and Norway. The Swedish offices are located at Arlanda and Frösön/Östersund. The bases staffed with HTC are located in Östersund, Visby, and Norrtälje. The Visby and Stockholm bases operate with the Airbus H145 helicopter. If the weather is too poor to operate the helicopter, the HTC and anesthetic nurse will staff a road ambulance.
