Laboratory Medical Center Gotland

The island's location requires the resources of a large hospital while simultaneously providing the proximity and community of a smaller hospital.

In healthcare on Gotland, close collaborations are built quickly, and decision-making paths are short, creating smooth processes for patients and staff.

At our multidisciplinary hospital laboratory, we place great importance on both employee well-being and our quality work. The Laboratory Medical Center Gotland includes clinical chemistry, blood center, clinical microbiology, and water laboratory.

Your Responsibilities

The Laboratory Medical Center Gotland is a smaller hospital laboratory. Therefore, we have great opportunities for varied tasks and continuous development. You will become an important team member in our clinical microbiology group, where you will have the opportunity to work broadly with PCR and culture-based microbiological diagnostics and develop in-depth knowledge in certain areas.

We are now offering two positions; a permanent position and a one-year temporary position with the possibility of a permanent contract.

Who Are You?

You are a licensed biomedical analyst, molecular biologist, or have a similar education in biomedicine. You have experience working in clinical microbiology.

We consider experience in clinical bacteriology, experience with digital lab systems, and experience working in a quality-certified laboratory as advantageous.

You have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate clearly with customers and understand method instructions in Swedish.

You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and work systematically both independently and collaboratively with colleagues. You have a positive attitude towards our customers and other healthcare personnel and can explain and assist them with inquiries.

Before a hiring decision is made, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
