Physiotherapist for Primary Care in Region Gotland
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Primary Care Physiotherapy Clinics
Region Gotland offers physiotherapy clinics in three locations: Hemse, Slite, and Visby.
Our clinics are part of primary care, where we have a close collaboration with both public and private healthcare centers.
Our working method is not governed by patient reimbursement, but by grant funding. This means we can focus on quality, medical assessment, and the right intervention at the right time – both for the patient and for you as an employee.
Our team consists of 18 dedicated physiotherapists with specialized expertise in several primary care relevant areas, including women's health, orthopedic manual therapy (OMT), the McKenzie method (MDT), and sports medicine. Your opportunities for guidance and mentorship in primary care work are therefore excellent.
Your Responsibilities
As a physiotherapist with us, you work closely with patients and contribute to frontline care. Your work includes:
- Medical assessments and treatments during both physical visits and digital contacts.
- Triage – initial assessments of patients seeking care without a referral.
- Leading exercise groups, supporting our partners, and actively participating in development work.
You have great freedom to influence your own schedule and shape your workday based on patients' needs and your own clinical planning.
With us, you will work in an environment that stimulates your professional development. We offer:
- A structured introduction and mentorship program.
- Opportunities for further education and professional development in collaboration with, among others, Stockholm County Council's educational network Academic Primary Care Center (APC).
- Collegial networks.
- The opportunity to deepen your knowledge in specialist areas and take an active role in the development of the organization.
In short: Here you can grow, contribute, and shape the future of primary care rehabilitation. Welcome to develop together with us!
Who Are You?
We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist or physical therapist who wants to develop in a broad and stimulating primary care role.
It is advantageous if you have further education relevant to work in primary care, such as in Mental Health, MDT, OMT, or other musculoskeletal assessment and treatment methods.
We believe you have a strong clinical sense, a curiosity to learn new things, and a willingness to work both independently and collaboratively with a competent team.
Before a hiring decision is made, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
