Your Role

We are looking for someone who wants to work with strategy and technical development within upcoming capability enhancements and customer adaptations of Gripen. The assignment includes management, development, and design balancing at the aircraft level in a team with experienced systems engineers/system architects and chief engineers within Gripen E/F and C/D. To succeed in this assignment, the ability to collaborate both within the team and with other departments in Gripen development is required, as all parts contribute to the complete product.

Depending on the candidate's background and profile, the tasks may be partially adapted. For example, the tasks may include coordinating specific design changes for a customer or driving operational adaptations required to manage the current development situation.

Your Profile

We prefer that you have several years of experience in aviation system-related work, e.g., systems development at the subsystem level. It is advantageous if you have worked with the details but have an interest in the overview and strategy moving forward. The ability to drive and coordinate tasks with multiple stakeholders is meritorious.

You have an interest in both collaborating with people and making technical choices. The ability to communicate, see the big picture, and simultaneously handle details is seen as success factors. Previous experience in a leadership position, not only in the technical field, is meritorious.

You must be able to work closely in a group, combine drive and quality thinking, and have a strong interest in learning about the business and the product.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
