We offer a varied job with great responsibility and excellent opportunities for professional development. For us, it is obvious that there should be a good balance between work and private life. We know that diversity enriches and are looking for someone who can complement our team with your skills, experience, and personality.
The position is part of the Operations management team and is directly subordinate to the Director of Operations. Depending on the assignment, reporting may also occur to LFV's management team or a specially appointed steering group within LFV.
Your Role
The work involves establishing the operational department's overall needs and requirements towards system owners and acting as an interface towards LFV's technology organization regarding the technical development of aviation technical systems.
Your mission will include:
- Developing and managing the department's technically oriented needs
- Coordinating the department's needs for technical services
- Ensuring relevant prioritization among the department's needs based on operational and maintenance budgets as well as long-term investment plans
- Participating in program and project steering groups
- Contributing to technology development through work with the operational department's strategic direction
- Coordinating internal resources and ensuring that the department's overall needs are met
- Monitoring the external environment in the area to ensure regulatory changes are incorporated into the department's requirements
The position does not involve personnel responsibility. However, the role includes functionally leading the department's technical group, which currently consists of five people.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with strategic thinking and the ability to see the big picture. You are comfortable working long-term and building strong business relationships over time. Change and development are something you thrive on, and you are eager to take the initiative to drive work forward. You plan and structure your work independently, but you also adapt easily when circumstances change. You are goal-oriented, take responsibility for your deliveries, and always strive to achieve good results. You collaborate effectively with others, are attentive and clear in your communication, and ensure that expectations and messages are clear to all involved.
You also have:
- Several years of experience in a leadership position, as an engineer, project manager, or manager in a technical organization
- A relevant technical education for the position, either as a university engineer or post-secondary education in the aviation technical field that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Experience working within a defined budget and given frameworks
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
- A valid driver's license (B) as the position involves travel to LFV's various operational locations
Experience from the aviation industry is an advantage for the position.
Employment
The position is a permanent employment with a location in Norrköping or Arlanda. Other locations where LFV operates may also be relevant. There is flexibility regarding working in the office and remotely. Since Operations operates in several locations, the position involves some travel. International travel may also occur.
Before employment, LFV conducts a security review that includes a background check, security interview, and drug test. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
We have a competency-based recruitment process that includes selection, tests, and interviews to find the candidate with the highest potential for the position and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process. The tests that are part of the selection include a personality test and a cognitive ability test.
