Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will support the individual in their home, based on the user's needs and wishes. The tasks include practical chores, personal care, medical interventions, leisure activities, and social contacts. You will be the support that the user needs to be as involved as possible in all activities and to help ensure that the user has a good quality of life.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have completed education from the nursing program, child and leisure program, or a 1-year personal assistance training. Applicants with other education or experience that the employer considers equivalent may also be considered for employment. You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. The work should be characterized by a pedagogical approach to support the user in maintaining their skills as much as possible. It is important that you feel secure in your professional role and can act professionally. We also see that you are social, attentive, and proactive in activities with the user. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The work as a personal assistant requires good physical condition in terms of strength, endurance, and mobility. Since the work requires documentation, it is desirable that you have good computer skills. We also prefer that you have a B driver's license and access to a car.

More About the Positions

Permanent employment with a working degree of 85.77%, working hours are allocated during the day, evening, and 2 weekends out of 5. Period: February 1 - August 31. Recruitment will be ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Full-time employment may be offered. You will primarily work in this case but may need to work hours in other cases/activities where there is a need. This requires that you can travel by your own car to the workplace you will temporarily work at. Travel compensation will be provided according to the agreement for business trips.

The Case

A woman in her 40s with intellectual and mental disabilities living in Öjebyn who needs support and guidance in her daily life. She requires structure and clear boundaries, which means we place great importance on your ability to create security by being calm and consistent in your approach. You will work alone for the majority of your shifts.
