Support Assistant/Instructor

Hello! We are excited that you are interested in the position of Support Assistant/Instructor with us! We are looking for new colleagues for the Dragongatan group home who, together with a wonderful team, want to make a difference in people's everyday lives. The residence is nicely located in a residential area in Kronan, close to the Ormberget outdoor area. We have seven apartments and a large common area for shared activities.

The working hours are varied, and you will work according to a schedule during days/evenings/weekends/on-call. Start date is according to agreement, and a probationary period may apply. Job Responsibilities

You will focus on the positive aspects of the individual and their surroundings, providing pedagogical support in daily life. You will work to practically guide and support the users to create conditions for an active and independent life tailored to their individual needs and abilities. Together with the users, you will carry out activities related to daily life. This includes cooking, cleaning, laundry, and outdoor activities. You will also accompany users on leisure activities according to their wishes. Implementation plans are used as an active working method and are developed based on the user's preferences and needs, and are continuously evaluated. You should be able to work independently and recognize the importance of documentation, follow-up, and evaluation to achieve the goals of the organization. The work includes contact and cooperation with representatives, relatives, daily activities, and more. You will act as a support person and help shape a clear structure while participating in supervision, workplace meetings/team meetings, and network meetings.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine interest and commitment to working with people with disabilities. Additionally, you should have:

• experience working with people with disabilities
• good digital skills
• approved grades in Swedish equivalent to at least grade 9

Training as a support assistant is highly meritorious, as is experience working with individuals with autism. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge and experience in sign language support or low-arousal approaches. As a person, you should be structured, collaborative, and stable. We place great emphasis on personal qualities in the selection process.
