Job Responsibilities

There is now an opportunity to apply for the attractive position of special educator in the Preschool Administration, City of Malmö. Are you a special educator passionate about the education of the youngest children? Perhaps you are the one we are looking for!

As a special educator in the unit for Educational Development, you will support the preschools' efforts to create accessible education and, together with other support functions in the administration, contribute to health-promoting and preventive approaches. You will be part of a cross-professional team consisting of special educators, psychologists, and developmental educators.

The special educator's mission includes close collaboration with the principal's management team in the preventive, strategic, and operational work at both the organizational level and the group and individual levels. Your work may also involve collaboration with other authorities and organizations, which means that the work is characterized by many points of contact.

In the role of special educator, you will have the opportunity to plan and implement various training initiatives, for example, by giving lectures or other targeted interventions based on identified needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher and trained special educator with at least one year of professional experience as a special educator.

You have experience working with children in need of special support and guiding educators in preschool. As a special educator, you are well-acquainted with tools and methods based on scientific principles and proven experience. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in conducting training initiatives, such as lectures, workshops, or other targeted interventions based on identified needs.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, driven, and creative with a focus on solutions. You have a holistic view to drive development processes and good collaboration skills. You have an inclusive perspective, are flexible, enjoy challenges, and thrive in both team and independent work.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
