Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a special education teacher for a temporary position to work with grades 4-6 at Kryddgårdsskolan!

At Kryddgårdsskolan, we strive to ensure that the expertise of student health is available to all students in a promoting and preventive manner. You will be part of a competent student health team that works cross-professionally. We aim for good collaboration where the professions of student health and teachers have the opportunity to work together on guidance, stimulation, and support measures. As a special education teacher, you are an active part of the school's development work. You support teachers in their efforts to identify and remove barriers in various learning environments to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment for each student. As a special education teacher, you will teach students, support teachers with extra adaptations, conduct assessments, analyses, and interventions for students in need of special support.

You will establish, follow up, and evaluate action programs in accordance with the school's routines and conduct classroom observations based on the needs of the operations. In your role as a special education teacher, you will primarily work with students in grades 4-6, but you are also expected to work from a holistic perspective for grades F-6 depending on the actual needs of the operations and students. Your EHT team will consist of special education teachers, a counselor, a school nurse, and a school psychologist.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher and has a special education degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development and/or mathematics. Experience working as a special education teacher is an advantage. Likewise, experience working in a F-6 school is also an advantage.

You have good insight and knowledge of school development and the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. You have acquired knowledge and experience in supervision/training, student health work, and working with documentation - pedagogical investigations, extra adaptations, and special support/action programs.

You have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore also lead and organize the work towards the student(s) to create a conducive and good learning environment throughout the day. You develop your work and leadership based on evidence-based research, and we want you to be accustomed to working with relevant digital tools and learning tools.

You are a clear and confident leader in the classroom. Of course, you have a professional approach and actively work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all of us at the school.

Kryddgårdsskolan is located in the green areas of eastern Malmö, between Cronhielmsparken and Östra kyrkogården, and we have about 350 students in grades F-6. A language and knowledge-developing approach permeates all our teaching, both in school and in the after-school program. Our teaching is characterized by clear linguistic goals, contextual richness, interaction, and support. We focus heavily on developing our students' abilities in reading, writing, and arithmetic, and our reading promotion work includes close collaboration with our school library.
