Description

In our department, we are 13 employees who together are responsible for payroll administration for all of Sweden's County Administrative Boards, which corresponds to approximately 7,700 salaries per month.

We work closely with our clients and strive to deliver high quality, good service, and a safe and efficient payroll process. Due to a temporary assignment in 2026, we are now looking for a payroll consultant for a fixed-term employment who wants to help strengthen our team during this period.

Responsibilities

As a payroll consultant with us, you will be responsible for payroll management for 1-2 authorities, totaling around 700 salaries. The work encompasses the entire payroll process – from ongoing administration, controls, and reconciliations to compiling documentation for payroll runs. You will work with the interpretation of collective agreements, calculation of vacation and sick leave, as well as handling travel expenses and reimbursements. The role also involves registering employments and issuing certificates.

You will provide support to managers and employees via phone and email and participate in agency reporting and annual reports. The assignment also includes contributing to the development of our processes and working methods. The work is performed in Unit4 ERP.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in the payroll area and enjoys a role where accuracy, service, and structure are central. You have:

  • Post-secondary education in payroll.
  • Current work experience (within the last 5 years) in payroll administration in the public sector.
  • Experience working in the payroll module in Unit4 ERP.
  • Good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the payroll area.
  • Good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems and working methods.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Good knowledge of the public sector collective agreement and associated regulations.
  • Experience providing advice and support to managers on payroll issues.
  • Experience working with digital processes, statistics, or improvement work in the payroll area.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. To thrive with us, you need to be service-oriented, responsible, and structured. You should have an easy time collaborating while also being confident in working independently and making your own decisions within your area.
