JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone with interest and competence to work as a business developer at the education administration in Växjö Municipality. The position is new and located in the Analysis & Development unit. The unit's main mission is to contribute to effective governance and management of operations through follow-up, development, and support, as well as increased quality and equity for children and students.

The main focus of the position is to provide support in the development of adapted school forms in primary and secondary education. This includes supporting managers in organizing for effective and successful school development. In this role, you will strategically and operationally drive and support development work, as well as analysis and follow-up work, to improve the set goals and results. You will work towards an education that is cohesive throughout the schooling, in a 1-20 year perspective. You will provide support at the unit level, operational form level, and governing level, as well as collaborate with other relevant professionals in the development.

The job responsibilities mainly include:

  • Contributing support in the compilation, follow-up, and analysis of results throughout the governance chain
  • Supporting the development of systematic quality work at multiple levels
  • Acting as support in operational planning
  • Planning, implementing, and following up on competence development and development initiatives
  • Providing material for management days, quality dialogues, and analysis days
  • Supporting the development of networks for different professional groups and functions
  • Contributing material for internal budgets and interim and annual reports
  • Investigating issues from operations and committees and preparing decision-making materials.
  • Monitoring the environment for transformation into business development
  • Providing support to units reviewed by external authorities

You will be part of various cross-professional groups working with the administration's quality management system and its components such as strategic direction, systematic quality work, and budget processes. Development and implementation work as well as projects are driven from a process-oriented perspective.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a degree in pedagogy, or something the employer assesses as equivalent, with experience in roles within adapted school forms
  • worked as a lead teacher, or in a principal role or another role with development assignments
  • experience in systematic quality work and change work
  • good knowledge of legislation and governing documents related to the school's mission

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience with a process-oriented working method, process management/development, or service design
  • experience in organizational development
  • experience in compiling and analyzing qualitative and quantitative results

To fit the job, we believe you are structured, have high social skills, enjoy collaborating, are communicative, and can express yourself well in speech and writing. You are solution-focused, have the ability to take action and engage, and can independently drive your work. Furthermore, you can switch between different issues and have a good ability to prioritize, plan, and organize your work effectively. You can lead, implement, and follow up on development assignments. The role includes creating a trusting and respectful dialogue with employees in different parts of the organization.

You should have the ability to see how initiatives should be implemented from a governance perspective, where the units are part of a larger whole. You need to have very good knowledge of systematic quality work and how this can be translated from theory to practice at different levels. Working from curricula and current research should be a natural part of your working method. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
