About Us

Department 58 is the stroke unit of Region Blekinge.

We have 14 regular care places for acute stroke care and, as space allows, also for patients with neurological diseases. The department is also responsible for the brain-saving alarms in eastern Blekinge and performs thrombolysis treatments. The goal is for all patients with acute stroke to be treated directly at Department 58.

About the Job

The Medical Clinic is looking to develop its stroke care and is therefore seeking a stroke nurse who can help lead this work. The position initially includes 50% as a stroke nurse and 50% as a nurse on ward 58.

• identify needs and develop adequate training initiatives
• develop the skills of the department's staff in defined areas of development
• train new thrombolysis nurses
• develop patient and relative information
• coordinate and ensure quality in the care process for individual patients
• collaborate with other clinics to optimize the patients' care process
• be responsible for the quality register RiksStroke

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in stroke care.

As a person, it is important that you are attentive, open, and communicative. You are passionate about development and improvement. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in leading improvement work. You are confident in your role as a nurse, work independently, and have good collaboration skills. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Before Appointment

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in war service. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
