Thoraxcentrum provides highly specialized cardiac and lung surgical care as well as care in the areas of invasive electrophysiology, pacemaker, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI.

Within the clinic, approximately 200 employees work in care, intensive care, and radiology departments, as well as in outpatient and surgical operations. We have a broad and varied work content and conduct both acute and planned operations. We are a professional knowledge organization characterized by high care quality, a willingness to develop, responsibility, and participation. The clinic has a dedicated instructional nurse who contributes to continuing education and development.

About the Job

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA) consists of 4-6 beds. We provide patient-centered care in close collaboration with Thorax Radiology, from where we follow our patients directly to HIA.

In the cardiac intensive care unit, we provide highly specialized cardiac intensive care, equipped with modern equipment. We manage CPAP, ischemia monitoring, arterial catheters, CVK, pericardial drains, pleural drains, transvenous pacemakers, electrical conversions, and postoperative care of TAVI and, in some cases, intermediate postoperative care of CABG.

The work is independent and varied in a team that includes nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. The tasks include ongoing observations, careful monitoring, and high-quality nursing care.

At HIA, we work together and distribute the work among ourselves as needed. We have patient responsibility for our myocardial infarction patients at Thorax Radiology during on-call hours. Staffing is 2 nurses and 1-2 nursing assistants around the clock.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse; if you also have experience in cardiac care, are trained as an ICU nurse, or have other relevant specialist competence, it is an advantage.
