About Us

We are now looking for a new colleague to the Occupational Therapy department in Karlshamn.

The Occupational Therapy department in Karlshamn consists of a wonderful team of 13 employees of mixed ages. We have occupational therapists, nursing assistants, and a technical instructor. We meet all occupational therapy needs at the hospital, and the operations include both inpatient and outpatient care. This may include the medical department, rehabilitation department, specialist rehabilitation, SPRIH, hand team, or rheumatology. One of our main tasks is the Rehabilitation Clinic's rehabilitation department, which has 12 beds. It is an exciting care department where there are patients with strokes and other neurological diseases, traumatic/anoxic brain injuries, patients with other chronic conditions, orthopedic diagnoses, spinal cord injuries, and amputees. Here, patients are followed during a shorter or longer rehabilitation period.

Working as an occupational therapist at Blekingesjukhuset is a unique and rewarding experience. You will meet patients with various diagnoses and injuries where the goal is to create opportunities for patients to manage activities based on their own wishes and needs in relation to their environment. At the Occupational Therapy department, we have a wide range of treatment options that enable training in daily activities as well as in creative activities and training gardens.

The Rehabilitation Clinic is part of specialized care and operates at both locations of Blekingesjukhuset. The clinic organizes Blekingesjukhuset's rehabilitation within inpatient care as well as outpatient care and pain and cancer rehabilitation. As an occupational therapist, you will often work closely with physiotherapists, doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants in various teams. This way of working is not only inspiring, but it also provides the opportunity to learn from other professions and to share your own insights and knowledge. We have about 200 employees from various professions.

About the Job

You will work as an occupational therapist in various areas within inpatient and/or outpatient care. You will receive introduction and guidance from an experienced colleague.

About You

You should be a licensed occupational therapist. The work requires that you can work independently, have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and that you want to be involved in developing the operations. An interest in working in a team is preferred. A B driver's license is required.
