About Us

Folktandvården in Blekinge is responsible for outreach dental care in the county, which means we seek out and offer oral health assessments to the sick, elderly, and people with disabilities.

The work in the outreach service consists of oral health assessments for the elderly and oral care training for caregivers and relatives. In Blekinge, we work with outreach services in two teams consisting of dental hygienists and dental nurses, one team in the west and one in the east.

The dental hygienist is responsible for oral health assessments and oral care training. The dental nurse in the team is responsible for the administrative preparation, such as bookings, planning, registration, and assisting the team’s dental hygienist, but is also helpful in oral care training for caregivers.

The starting point for the work is the Karlskrona area in the east and the Karlshamn area in the west, but our teams cover all of Blekinge, which means that a B driver's license is necessary. All travel occurs during working hours.

We now want to recruit two dental hygienists to our outreach teams! One dental hygienist in the east and one in the west.

About the Job

The position is a combined role, which means you have a base position as a dental hygienist within Folktandvården Blekinge. Part of your time will be spent working in the clinic with various tasks within the dental hygienist's area of expertise and with patients of all ages. The other part will be spent working with outreach services, currently about two days a week.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed dental hygienist with at least two years of professional experience
• wants to develop in your professional role
• is outgoing, positive, has an easy time collaborating and making contacts
• is a good communicator both verbally and in writing
• takes personal responsibility and initiative
• holds a B driver's license.
