About the Job

Basic training in Region Blekinge is a fixed-term employment for 12 months focusing on clinical training.

We offer 4 BT positions.

The BT training includes the following mandatory placements: primary care, emergency medicine, and psychiatry.

As a BT doctor, you will have an individual and structured training plan and receive your own main supervisor who will follow you throughout your service. You will also participate in joint training sessions and seminars with other BT doctors and AT doctors.

We adhere to the regulations set by the National Board of Health and Welfare for BT.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in wartime positions.

About You

We are looking for someone who wants to start a BT in Region Blekinge, has a medical degree from a country other than Sweden, and has not completed Swedish general medical training (AT). To apply for BT in Region Blekinge, you must have received Swedish medical licensure from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

For this position, you must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience as a junior doctor before and after graduation, especially in Sweden and preferably in Region Blekinge, is an advantage.

We see BT as the first step towards a future specialization training (ST) within Region Blekinge.

We are looking for someone who has the patient in focus, is responsible and secure, and appreciates a well-functioning teamwork. Good medical knowledge and insight into when to consult colleagues create patient safety, and you take advantage of all opportunities for improvement and development. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

BT positions begin on August 31, 2026. Proof of medical licensure must be presented at least one month before commencement.

We will request extracts from the Police Authority's criminal record and suspicion register for those offered employment, as the work involves, among other things, care for children and young people as well as psychiatric care.
