About Us

At department 58, we have Region Blekinge's care places for acute stroke care and, as space allows, patients with neurological diseases.

The department is also responsible for the Save the Brain alarms in eastern Blekinge. The ambition going forward is that all patients with acute stroke should be enabled a direct admission to department 58.

About the Job

Leadership in Region Blekinge consists of both an employer role and a leadership role. Both are equally important and involve being Region Blekinge's representative in the employer role and stimulating, engaging, and encouraging employees in the leadership role so that the operations develop and improve. In your role as a temporary deputy department head, you will support the department head. The assignment includes, among other things:

• planning the daily work and personnel administrative tasks
• actively participating in developing the department with a focus on the future
• ensuring that operational routines, laws, and regulations governing the operations are applied
• actively keeping up with developments within Region Blekinge
• developing preventive work, primarily concerning the psychosocial and physical work environment

It is of utmost importance that the department head and the temporary deputy work for a close and positive collaborative climate. Together, the assignment is shaped and clarified based on the needs of the operations. The assignment will be performed on a part-time basis, with the remaining time spent working in your primary profession in the department.

In addition to the above, you will replace the regular department head during absences (more than one week) due to vacation or illness. The role of temporary deputy department head is a fixed-term position due to parental leave, and your primary employment will be within the professional category you belong to.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse or nursing assistant interested in working as a deputy department head. You need to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You enjoy new challenges and want to work towards the goals of the organization. You are responsible, stress-resistant, and have good collaboration skills. Of course, we also want you to have leadership qualities and good self-awareness. Experience from similar assignments is an advantage. If you have experience working with stroke patients, we consider it a merit but not a requirement. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a state of readiness. Some of our positions are classified for security, where the employee must undergo a security screening interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
