The Job

For the summer of 2026, the Health and Medical Care in Karlskrona and Karlshamn is looking for nursing assistants or care assistants who want to help create care and good treatment for our patients. The work consists of care tasks in our wards, where you become an important part of the care flow and work closely with both colleagues and patients to create safety and quality in care.

You will work according to a schedule of day/evening/night and weekends. We would like you to be available for the entire holiday period.

We offer summer jobs in several departments within the hospital. Your application will be distributed based on the needs of the organization and, as far as possible, also taking into account your preferences. Please indicate in your application if you are particularly interested in a specific department or clinic.

About You

We are looking for someone who wants a summer job where you can use your skills and simultaneously develop in your professional role. You are responsible and flexible with the ability to create structure and prioritize work when the pace is high.

Your curiosity and commitment to people make you approach the work with energy and care. You see collaboration as a given and contribute to a work environment where we support each other and find solutions together.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

We welcome you to apply if you:

• Have an education focused on care and nursing at the high school level
• Have acquired skills equivalent to the educational level mentioned above
• Are a nursing student, at least in the 4th semester
• Are a medical student, at least in the 4th semester

Please attach proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare. The certificate is issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare here (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/skyddad-yrkestitel-for-underskoterska/). If you do not have proof, you will be employed under another title.

Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
