Eastern Adult Psychiatry in Karlskrona is looking for a new colleague to join our general psychiatric outpatient clinic!

We are part of Region Blekinge and one of two psychiatric clinics in the county. Eastern Adult Psychiatry is located in Karlskrona, a city with 60,000 inhabitants. Our clinic provides general psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care, addiction medicine inpatient and outpatient care, as well as units for eating disorder treatment and cognitive medicine. We also hold the acute psychiatric mandate for Blekinge, including a psychiatric emergency department, an acute ward, and intensive care. We have a small healthcare organization, which gives you the space to influence, be seen, and make a difference. We aim to provide specialized care of high quality and therefore have a positive attitude towards further education and supervision.

About the Job

The general psychiatric outpatient clinic is located on the hospital grounds in Karlskrona, close to other units within the psychiatric clinic as well as other hospital care. You will work in a team-based manner together with nurses, assistant nurses, psychologists, therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation coordinators. In addition to the general psychiatric outpatient teams, the clinic also includes psychosis and bipolar teams, a CS clinic, a DBT team, an MBT team, and an acute advisory team, with whom you will have close collaboration. You will also be part of Blekinge's common on-call line that staffs the acute psychiatric unit around the clock. Currently, twelve permanent specialist psychiatrists work at our clinic, four of whom work at the outpatient clinic. We also have ST (specialty training), AT (assistant training), and BT (basic training) doctors, making supervision and participation in educational initiatives for younger colleagues a natural part of the job. If you are interested in research, we have PhD-supervised research mentors available.

About You

We are looking for a specialist in psychiatry. We prefer that you are a secure and stable person with good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a structured working method. You can clearly communicate your clinical assessments and decisions. You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great importance on your personal suitability for the position.
