About Us

The Pain Rehabilitation unit at the Rehabilitation Clinic in Blekinge provides team-based outpatient specialist rehabilitation in Karlshamn and Karlskrona.

The Rehabilitation Clinic's specialist rehabilitation includes pain rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, stroke neuro-rehabilitation, general specialist rehabilitation, a botulinum toxin clinic, and a spinal cord injury team. The clinic also operates an inpatient department in Karlshamn for inpatient rehabilitation. The medical team collaborates and supports each other as needed. We strive for a good working environment and sustainable workload. As a physician at the rehabilitation clinic, you will treat patients with spinal cord injuries, chronic pain conditions, stroke, brain injuries, amputations, multiple traumas, and other complex conditions. We plan ahead to ensure adequate staffing and competence. Physicians at the rehabilitation clinic do not work evenings or weekends, and a good working environment is a priority for us.

About the Job

We are seeking physicians for a well-functioning operation. We are looking for someone with an interest in chronic pain who wants to work with multimodal rehabilitation. You are welcome to apply for the position regardless of whether you already work in pain rehabilitation or are interested in developing skills in this area.

Pain is one of the most common reasons for contact with healthcare. Regardless of specialty, you will encounter patients with pain conditions. In our teams, we work in a person-centered manner with professions including occupational therapists, counselors, physicians, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, and nurses.

Responsibilities

To independently and as part of a multiprofessional team assess and treat patients with chronic pain. This also includes delivering lectures for patients, relatives, and students. Writing certificates and supporting physician colleagues when needed are part of the role. Supervision of specialty training physicians (ST) and medical students is included. If you are also interested in other areas within the rehabilitation clinic's operations, there is room for development.

About You

We are primarily looking for a specialist in rehabilitation medicine. If you have good collaboration skills, value multiprofessional teamwork, and have a genuine interest in the subject area, you are welcome to apply even with other specialist competencies.

The primary work location is Karlshamn. We value collaboration within the medical group at the rehabilitation clinic. The position can be adjusted to some extent based on the applicant's interests and specialization.

You are a secure and stable person with good collaboration skills and social competence, as well as a structured working method. We expect flexibility and good communication skills. Employment grade and form of employment can be discussed during the hiring process. We place great importance on personal suitability.
