We are looking for you who are a newly graduated or experienced nurse who wants to develop within Thoraxcentrum.
You are offered
- an individual introduction program tailored to the operations based on your previous experiences and competencies, as well as continuous support from our experienced nurses and our instructional nurse.
- a work environment where we help each other, see and confirm each other, and where we support each other in development.
- a workplace with participatory and present leadership.
- to become part of a team that collaborates for everyone to succeed in their mission.
- development opportunities within the clinic's units.
- a stimulating, challenging, and educational job where you can build on your competencies within an organization with different levels of care and be given the opportunity for rotation between the clinic's units.
About us
Thoraxcentrum provides highly specialized cardiac and thoracic surgical care as well as care in the areas of invasive electrophysiology, pacemaker, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI. The clinic employs approximately 200 staff in care, intensive care, and radiology departments, as well as in outpatient and surgical operations. We have a broad and varied work content and conduct both acute and planned operations. We are a professional knowledge organization characterized by high quality of care, a willingness to develop, responsibility, and participation.
We also offer flexible hours, wellness grants, and free access to the gym.
Thoraxcentrum offers you as a new nurse (whether newly graduated or experienced) an opportunity for advancement within the clinic, professional development, and varied tasks within cardiology. This occurs through individualized introduction, internal training at both theoretical and practical levels through internships, and the opportunity for paid further education.
Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in war positions.
Applicants who are relevant for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
About the job
Ward 47 consists of a cardiology ward with 14 beds and a cardiac intensive care unit (HIA) with 4-6 beds. On weekdays, during the day, we have a ward coordinator who manages logistics and allocates care places and resources.
In the care ward, we provide specialized cardiac care, primarily focusing on ischemia, coronary arteries, arrhythmia investigations, heart failure, and heart valve disease. In HIA, we provide highly specialized cardiac intensive care and are equipped with modern technical equipment. You will learn to handle CPAP, ischemia monitoring, arterial catheters, and treatment with inotropes. In HIA, patients are in the more acute stage of their illness, and the work offers great development and challenge.
An employment with us means that you will receive scheduled training from our competent doctors and instructional nurses. These training activities will be linked to your individual profile, which will then form the basis for upcoming salary reviews.
In the care ward, we work in care teams with a nurse and nursing assistant, as well as another nurse who supports and assists as needed. In the cardiac intensive care unit, with a higher level of care, you are responsible for 1-4 patients.
About you
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or ICU nurse; we welcome both newly graduated and more experienced nurses. We work together to ensure that you can grow into your role over time and that we find a level of care that suits you. Experience in cardiac care or emergency care is an advantage but not a requirement.
We see that you have good collaboration skills and contribute to creating a good work climate. We value that you are positive and have a humble approach. You are ambitious, want to develop, and dare to take responsibility. You can prioritize in acute situations and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You meet patients and colleagues with care, respect, and contribute with your knowledge and enthusiasm. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis.
We warmly welcome your application to us today.
