The Orthopedic Clinic is located in two places in Blekinge; Karlshamn and Karlskrona.

In our care department in Karlshamn, OKV, the focus is on caring for patients after planned procedures such as back, hip, and knee surgeries. In Karlskrona, resource-intensive operations are conducted around the clock, including emergency care, qualified intensive care, and surgical operations. Our trauma department 37 handles acute orthopedic injuries around the clock throughout the year.

We are a clinic in development, actively working on cohesion within the clinic where we have a good atmosphere and enjoy each other's company! We are developing a competency ladder within the clinic. This means we want to invest in nurses and provide opportunities for further development in orthopedics. We have internal lecturers, opportunities to take the Swedish Orthopedic Association (SOF) training. We also enjoy spending time together outside of work, participating in events like the Blood Run, clinic parties, and other gatherings. We believe this positively contributes to both community and collaboration.

About the Job

The position includes nursing tasks such as wound care, fracture checks, plastering, postoperative checks, assisting at doctor appointments, and outpatient surgeries. Administrative work such as scheduling outpatient visits and telephone consultations is also part of the job responsibilities.

The orthopedic clinic has a varied patient clientele of all ages, and we hope you have the ability to manage the breadth of orthopedic patients and enjoy working in an environment where the pace can vary.

Of course, you should be able to collaborate, prioritize, and have an empathetic approach. You are expected to be involved in your own development and, together with colleagues, contribute to improving and developing the outpatient services. Experience in outpatient work or orthopedics is an advantage.
