We make society work for people on the road, on tracks, in the air, and at sea.

That’s why we need the best expertise. Our mission is important and has significance in everyday life – both for individuals and businesses. With us, we take responsibility, treat everyone well, and respect differences. As an employee, you contribute to a sustainable future.

About the job

To meet future needs, we are strengthening our operations within the Professional Traffic Unit and are now looking for more employees.

In this role, you will primarily work with issuing permits and supervising companies engaged in professional traffic. The work also includes issuing and supervising taxi driver licenses. Our investigative work largely relies on material from other authorities, such as the Police Authority, the Tax Agency, and the Enforcement Authority. In this role, you will work on investigations that require you to see connections, make qualified assessments, and analyze information from various actors. You will handle cases where your ability to identify risks, patterns, and deviations is crucial to ensure a safe and serious professional traffic industry.

The unit has a clear focus on combating labor market crime and organized crime. You will play a central role in this work. Together with other experts both within and outside the authority, you will drive issues that are of great importance to societal development. To succeed, close and effective collaboration is required, as our work is often cross-authority and complex in nature. Since the operation is only located in Gothenburg, you will have the opportunity to develop a unique competence in an area where there is a great need for skilled investigators with a holistic perspective and analytical ability.

With us, you are important

Do you enjoy working together with others and want to develop in your professional role? With us, you can expect career development, a trusting leadership and employee relationship, and a sustainable work life. We are a secure employer who cares about your health with time for wellness during work hours, flexible working hours, a generous number of vacation days, and days off around holidays.

You will

  • work both independently on your own investigations and together with colleagues in a group. You will have the opportunity to build a unique competence in the field.
  • contribute to developing our working methods and together with colleagues create processes that add value to society.
  • have contact with companies, other authorities, and individuals.

You must have

  • a relevant higher education of at least 120 hp/180 hp, with a focus on economics, law, or social sciences.
  • current experience in making decisions based on legislation.
  • experience from working in a government authority with investigative or administrative work, or other relevant experience in making decisions based on legislation that the Transport Agency assesses as equivalent.
  • good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
  • experience of having been a presenter and/or decision-maker of written negative decisions against individuals or companies.

It is meritorious if you also have

  • worked with supervision or control against companies.
  • basic knowledge of accounting or financial reporting. For example, understanding how balance sheets and income statements, annual accounts, or tax declarations work.

We want you to

  • be self-driven – you take responsibility for driving investigations from start to finish and can make well-founded decisions within the framework of your assignment.
  • have strong analytical skills – you can analyze complex and extensive materials, see connections between different information sources, and identify risks, patterns, and deviations.
  • have good structure in your working method – you plan, prioritize, and document your work in a way that ensures quality, traceability, and legal certainty.
  • have good judgment and integrity – you make professional assessments and act objectively and consistently as a representative of the authority.
  • be collaborative – you cooperate effectively with colleagues and external authorities and actively contribute to joint investigations and the development of working methods.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
