Temporary Position as Business Developer in the Social Administration
We are looking for you who want to help shape tomorrow's Ale. With us, you will deliver services of the highest quality to the residents of Ale. Together, 2,500 employees create an Ale, the municipality that focuses on its residents and their needs. Become one of us!
About the Workplace
The Social Administration is responsible for elderly care, individual and family care, as well as care for people with disabilities, municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, refugee reception, and immigration issues.
In the unit for Management Support & Development, there are development leaders, operations coordinators, and business developers with different focuses, system administrators, as well as MAS and MAR, whose common goal is to provide effective and professional support to the administration's and operational areas' objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Our business developer for local and security issues is expecting a child in March, and we are therefore looking for a temporary replacement to start as soon as possible. The assignment includes local coordination, information security, crime prevention, and safety-promoting work, as well as systematic fire protection work (SBA).
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and quality-assuring processes, analyses, reports, and decision-making materials that create added value for the entire administration. You will support managers and operations in matters related to premises and security – often in close collaboration with the municipality's property department and security unit.
You will drive development initiatives that strengthen the social administration's efficiency, quality, and preparedness for future challenges. This includes monitoring the administration's needs in local and security issues, managing incoming cases in a timely manner, and producing independent analyses, risk assessments, and decision-making materials.
The work consists of both independent responsibility and collaboration. Some assignments you will lead alone, while others will be carried out together with colleagues or in broad collaboration within the administration. You will have close cooperation with the social administration's operations coordinator for crisis and preparedness, who also operates from our unit. Therefore, you need to be able to work proactively, take initiative, and be prepared for new assignments to arise as needs change.
An important part of the role is to produce written materials such as investigations, summaries, and service statements, as well as to present these in management groups, committees, and other decision-making forums. You will also have significant contacts with external property owners and participate in the work with local adaptations and new constructions. This requires you to be communicative, structured, and confident in dialogue with various stakeholders.
Another central task is to lead and coordinate information classification for the administration's digital systems, including risk and consequence analyses, follow-up, and documentation together with relevant key functions.
Qualifications
To be successful in your assignment, you need to have experience in:
- change management within municipal operations
- information security and data protection work, including systematic approaches and associated processes
- relevant legislation such as SoL, LSS, OSL, the Archives Act, and GDPR
- analytical, structured, and independent working methods
- prioritizing, organizing, and driving work towards goals
- solution-oriented and engaging working methods
We are looking for someone who:
- is pedagogical, attentive, and inspiring in their communication
- is confident in visualizing, explaining, and speaking in front of groups
- is self-driven, initiative-taking, and relationship-building
- has the ability to listen, interpret, and analyze needs
- sees the whole picture and can identify appropriate solutions
- is persistent and clear, especially in matters that require recurring follow-up and reminders
- creates opportunities for development and encourages new ideas
- translates the needs of the operations into practical actions and drives development that simplifies and improves working methods
- can think innovatively and implement changes in practice
- is communicative and pedagogical in speech and writing, with the ability to adapt the message to the audience
- structures and drives your work processes from start to finish
- builds trusting relationships and thrives in a role with many contact points
- is curious, brave, driven, and results-oriented
