Description
The Referral Unit is an organization within Hospitals in the West and acts as a support organization for the expanded mission of regional healthcare within the Gothenburg area.
The Referral Unit is responsible for the joint management of incoming referrals to the administration for the activities included and is responsible for coordination, collaboration, support, and management of referral volumes to and from Hospitals in the West.
Job Responsibilities
Working as a referral administrator means that you are an important part of the team working to ensure that all patients receive good and safe care.
You will work with mail handling, referral management, patient administrative work in ELVIS and Melior, scanning and distribution of referrals to SÄLMA, handling self-referrals via 1177, telephone service/support both internally and externally, as well as other administrative tasks according to the needs of the operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with education in health and medical care administration, such as a medical secretary, nursing assistant, or other experience in healthcare administration or similar qualifications that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer that you are accustomed to working with various IT tools and have experience in referral registration/booking in ELVIS and working in Melior. Experience with SÄLMA is an advantage. We also prefer that you are familiar with telephone service/support.
You should enjoy working flexibly. Since the position involves daily contact with many people, we expect you to have good collaboration skills, be used to taking initiative, and be able to organize your work independently. You are meticulous and have a good attitude towards colleagues. You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

The Referral Unit is an organization within Hospitals in the West where internal training will be conducted to enable employees to reach the qualifications and competencies needed for the job.
