Production Technician for Special Mission & Regional Aircraft

Your Role

You will be part of the Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA) department within the Aviation Services business unit. SMRA delivers a wide range of services and products related to twin-engine aircraft, with the reconnaissance and command aircraft GlobalEye being our flagship product. We operate in both military and civilian markets, and our customers and their expectations are always at the center of our operations.

As a production technician at Special Mission & Regional Aircraft, you will have a variety of daily tasks. To thrive and succeed in your role, you need to have a high level of engagement, a positive attitude, and the ability to maintain focus even when faced with challenges in your daily work.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in production technology or workshop experience.

Your main tasks include:

• Create and review production documentation for hangar operations
• Support and development of preparation documentation
• Analyze and enable the producibility of new products/tools
• Development of new and existing production flows
• Production and control preparation for new and existing products
• Preparation of articles in IFS Sherpa

Your Profile

You are a curious, proactive, and self-driven person who enjoys juggling multiple tasks. You are skilled at structuring your work, providing a solid foundation for planning both in the near term and for the long term. We see that you easily build relationships and communicate clearly. In improvement work, you have the courage to challenge and question current working methods.

You have:

• Good knowledge and experience in production technology and modern production philosophies, with the ability to translate theory into practice
• Knowledge and understanding of reading technical drawings
• Enjoy problem-solving, are analytical, like challenges, and are unafraid to try new methods.
• Theoretical knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma, or relevant further education at college/university level or vocational training
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with IFS Sherpa or similar ERP systems
• Familiarity with working with LEAN as a tool
• Experience in project-based work is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
