About the Workplace

Fritid Helsingborg works to create a rich and lasting leisure offering for everyone in Helsingborg. We do this by providing attractive youth centers and meeting places, open and accessible sports facilities, exciting events and experiences, and support for the city's associations.

At our youth centers, activity houses, and meeting places aimed primarily at young people aged 10-19, we work towards goals aligned with the decisions made by the board and the development of the activities.

Ung Fritid focuses on youth participation and influence, health, experiences, and interests that enrich young people's free time. We collaborate closely with schools, civil society, associations, and other departments within the city.

Job Responsibilities

As a substitute at Ung Fritid, you will work to create an inclusive and meaningful leisure time for young people. You promote participation, support youth development, and contribute to a positive community within our activities.

The work is based on the youth's free time, which means working evenings and weekends. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Creating a safe environment where young people feel welcome, seen, and respected.
  • Stimulating youth participation and influence.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and other actors to enable meaningful leisure time for the target group.
  • Being a present and attentive leader.

You will be asked with varying notice if you can work when needed in the activities, where you have the option to either accept or decline the shift.

The workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious.

Qualifications

  • Have education in leisure leadership, social pedagogy, health pedagogy, or equivalent education as assessed by the employer.
  • Are currently studying to become a leisure leader or pursuing another education that the employer deems relevant. Other relevant post-secondary education may include pedagogy, social work, or social sciences, such as leisure pedagogue, social worker, social pedagogue, health pedagogue, criminology, sociology, gender studies, sports science, international relations, or human rights.
  • Practical experience in open youth activities, youth influence, group activities, and events is an advantage.
  • You are also good at communicating in both spoken and written form.
  • You have good IT skills, proficiency in the Office suite, and social media.
