About the Workplace – ViVA
ViVA is Vingåkers municipality's unit for adult education and labor market initiatives. Within the unit, the municipality's work with adult education, labor market support, and guidance is gathered, with the goal of strengthening the opportunities for adults in Vingåker to study, work, and support themselves.
The operations include municipal adult education in both theoretical and vocational training, labor market initiatives, internships, guidance, and coaching. The work is based on the individual's needs and conditions, with a clear connection to education, working life, and the local labor market. Collaboration with the Employment Service, other municipal operations, and the local business community is a central part of the assignment.
ViVA is an operation that has emerged through development work and projects, and which continues to be characterized by a flexible and learning-oriented approach. Although basic structures and routines are in place, there is a clear focus on collaboration, accountability, and shared learning in everyday life.
About the Project – LAVA
The position is linked to the LAVA project – Learn, Work, Grow, Active, a collaborative project between Vingåkers municipality and the Employment Service. The project targets young people and young adults aged 16–29 who are outside of work and studies (UVAS).
LAVA is a cohesive approach where various initiatives are gathered in a common structure, adapted to the individual's needs and conditions. Within the project, study support, work-related initiatives, health-promoting support, and low-threshold activities are combined to create progression, motivation, and long-term opportunities for studies or work.
The project is carried out within the framework of ViVA and in close collaboration with the Employment Service, municipal operations, associations, and local employers. A central part of LAVA is to test, develop, and document an approach that can contribute to a more cohesive and sustainable support for young people who are outside of work and studies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a curator/health educator within LAVA, you contribute with psychosocial competence in the interdisciplinary team. Your assignment is to strengthen participants' opportunities to take part in the project's initiatives by working on mental health, routines, motivation, and social function.
The work is both individual and group-based and takes place in close collaboration with coaches, supervisors, and educational resources.
The job responsibilities include:
- conducting individual conversations with participants to identify barriers and resources
- contributing to the assessment of support needs related to mental health, life situation, and functional variations
- conducting group initiatives related to health, self-care, daily structure, and social training
- supporting the project's other employees with psychosocial competence in planning initiatives
- contributing to participants developing strategies to manage demands, setbacks, and change
- documenting initiatives and contributing to follow-up and learning in the project
The role is not therapeutic in the traditional sense but focuses on function, development, and enabling progression.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- relevant higher education, such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or equivalent
- experience working with young people or adults with mental health issues, social problems, or similar
- the ability to work in a structured and goal-oriented manner in individual-focused work
- experience in conducting group initiatives or educational moments
- good administrative skills and experience in documentation
It is advantageous if you have:
- experience from labor market initiatives, adult education, or similar contexts
- knowledge of NPF and how it affects studies and working life
- experience working in interdisciplinary teams
