About us

Curators in specialized healthcare in Sörmland are organized in a joint curator unit within the Paramedical Clinic. The task of Paramedicine is to create the best possible well-being and quality of life for patients in need of rehabilitation. A total of 30 curators work in the county, distributed across Mälarsjukhuset, Kullbergska Hospital, and Nyköping Hospital.

Your tasks

The work as a curator involves providing psychosocial support to patients and their relatives. The role also includes being updated and informed about community resources and participating in various collaborative forums to provide patients with the best possible care. You play an important role in collaborating with other staff categories to contribute a holistic perspective on the patient's life situation.

The curator's task is to complement medical care with psychosocial knowledge from a holistic perspective. In your assignment, you offer psychosocial support to patients and their relatives. This may involve conversations in various forms such as individual conversations, couple conversations, or family conversations. The focus of the conversations can be supportive, crisis-oriented, processing, or existential. We particularly focus on children as relatives and their needs. The work may also include leading various group activities. The curator also has a coordinating function, acting as a link between healthcare and the surrounding community, as well as conveying information about social legislation and various forms of community support.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. We prefer that you have experience in curatorial work within healthcare and that you have basic psychotherapy competence (step 1). The work requires independence and good collaboration skills. You need to be flexible and able to take your own initiatives. You are used to actively participating in various collaborative forms and have an interest in development and change work. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
