WE WANT SWEDEN'S HAPPIEST RESIDENTS. ARE YOU WITH US?

In the municipality of Flen, we are committed to building something long-term. A community where people thrive, grow, and stay. Our new and bold vision, Flen – Sweden's happiest municipality, is more than just words. It is a direction we have chosen together and a reminder of who we are here for. In every meeting with a resident, in every decision we make, in every everyday life we shape – we will think with our hearts. And it starts with us. We are now looking for summer substitutes in the disability area within the social administration. Those who start with us may work in personal assistance, housing support, or in operations such as group homes and service housing.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer substitute, you provide support and care to individuals who need help in their daily lives due to an intellectual disability, neuropsychiatric difficulties (NPF), and/or challenging behaviors. This may involve providing support at home, accompanying individuals on activities, assisting with routines, and creating safety and structure in daily life.

The work may also involve personal care and social support. Documentation is an important part of daily work, where you continuously note significant events. Some individuals need extra clarity in their daily lives or support in their communication, and you will receive guidance from experienced colleagues on how to provide support.

Working hours vary and may include day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:

  • Have a B driver's license.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

WE HIGHLY VALUE:

  • Assistant nurse education, preschool teacher education, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Experience with clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses.
  • Knowledge of AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication).
  • Experience working with individuals in need of support and care.

YOUR PERSONAL QUALITIES

We believe you are a person who is flexible, communicative, and responsible. You work in a structured manner, are self-driven, and have the ability to prioritize and drive your work forward with a focus on results. At the same time, you are solution-oriented and enjoy collaborating with others. You are engaged in your mission and contribute energy, responsibility, and a professional approach in your daily work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

WHY WORK WITH US?

In the municipality of Flen, we want to provide you with good conditions to thrive both at work and outside of it. We offer, among other things, vacation exchange, wellness benefits, and reimbursement for patient fees up to the high-cost protection – and there are more benefits than that. Many of our workplaces also have good commuting opportunities. You can read more about what it's like to work with us on the municipality's website: flen.se.
