Social Worker at Strängnäs Municipality

Our area of operation belongs to the Social Office and the Adult Support and Intervention unit, where we work with both authority exercise, support, and treatment. We are 15 employees consisting of four social workers, six therapists, one treatment assistant, two family consultants, one coordinator, and one housing secretary.
We are a unit that handles issues related to addiction, domestic violence, and dropouts. Here we manage the entire chain from reception, investigation, and intervention. You will have great opportunities to help develop the operations so that we can offer legally secure processes and professional interventions for the benefit of our residents in close collaboration with other units within the municipality. In your daily work, you will have support from your work group, coordinator, and unit manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a social worker, you will work with the entire chain from receiving and updating cases, investigating needs, making decisions, and following up on interventions according to SoL and LVM. Guiding and advising on what interventions the municipality provides to our citizens without assistance assessment is part of the job. Strängnäs Municipality is at the forefront of the transition to the new social services law and already has many service interventions in place.
The work also involves writing investigations and proposals for decisions to the social committee and administrative court. Convening and leading SIP meetings, as well as writing statements, are other tasks that belong to the daily work. You are expected to drive your collaboration within the group, with other units, and other actors such as the region, probation services, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has/is:
- A social worker or has another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Experience in authority exercise within addiction/dependency issues/DV.
- Experience in the areas of addiction and domestic violence.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well in both speech and writing.
- A valid driver's license (B).
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- experience in investigative work.
- knowledge of current legislation and legally secure processing.
- ASI training.
