Medical Secretary for the Neuropsychiatric and Deaf Psychiatry Program!
The University Clinic Psychiatry Sydväst is driven by the vision of providing the best psychiatric care in Sweden. We are part of SLSO psychiatry and have extensive collaboration with Karolinska Institute. The clinic is characterized by research, innovation, and continuous development. Psychiatry Sydväst is located in Flemingsberg at Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge.
One of our medical secretaries is going on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for someone interested in a 6-month temporary position with the possibility of extension.
The position offers a varied and meaningful job in an organization with a clear patient focus and a well-functioning interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Neuropsychiatric program is responsible for care and interventions for adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other neuropsychiatric disabilities with significant functional impairments and psychiatric comorbidity. The Deaf Psychiatry program offers specialist psychiatric treatment for those who are deaf, have a childhood hearing impairment, or deafblindness, and also have psychiatric issues.
Both programs are characterized by continuous method development and coordinated efforts based on the individual needs of the patient. A systematic work environment effort aims to create a sustainable and pleasant workplace.
Your work as a medical secretary
As a medical secretary in the Neuropsychiatric and Deaf Psychiatry Program, you will work closely with our other medical secretary and the unit manager, as well as a team consisting of doctors, nurses, case managers, social workers, and psychologists.
The work is varied and includes, among other things, patient contact via phone, handling of staff absence, and other administrative issues that come in via TeleQ and 1177, as well as other administration typical for psychiatric outpatient care.
Qualifications
Trained medical secretary. The position is full-time, and you need to be able to work on-site at the clinic to assist with the ongoing tasks. There is some possibility for remote work one day a week, provided it meets the needs of the organization.
Experience working in psychiatry and with supportive healthcare systems such as TakeCare, TeleQ, and the personnel tool in 1177.se is valued.
