Accountant for International Company

The company has undergone significant changes in recent years, including a change of ownership, and has focused its operations on core areas. The organization has decreased in size and is now characterized by a dynamic environment where every employee has the opportunity to influence and make a difference.

This is initially a consulting assignment for six months, but for the right person, the intention is for the assignment to transition into a permanent position directly with the client. The client is located in nice offices in Solna and is desired to start no later than April.

About the Position

As an accountant, you will be part of a Nordic finance team with colleagues in several countries. The role is broad and varied, with responsibility for accounting in two markets. You will work independently in the daily flow and have the opportunity to take on tasks such as VAT declarations, intercompany transactions, currency bookings, and accruals. For the right person, there are good development opportunities, including towards closing work and reporting.

You will report to the Nordic Finance Manager and become a key person where flexibility, personal responsibility, and good communication are crucial.

Responsibilities

• Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Ongoing accounting and reconciliations
• VAT declarations and other tax management
• Intercompany transactions
• Currency bookings and accruals
• Closing work and reporting
• Actively contribute to the development and improvement of routines, processes, and working methods

Suitable Background

We are looking for someone with experience in accounting who wants to take a broader approach with significant personal responsibility and variety. Having an academic degree or equivalent in finance is advantageous, as is experience with the entire accounting flow from ongoing bookkeeping to closing. A genuine interest in systems and experience in change environments is also a plus.

You have good knowledge of Excel and are comfortable with various accounting systems. Since the organization is international, you need to express yourself well in both Swedish and English.

You have the drive and desire to learn more, are system-oriented, and see opportunities to improve working methods and routines.
