Fagersta Stainless is looking for an experienced .NET developer

Fagersta Stainless is one of the leading manufacturers in the world of stainless steel wire rod and drawn wire. Our headquarters and production are located in Fagersta, Sweden. In our rolling mill, approximately 50,000 tons of wire rod are produced annually, of which about 10,000 tons are further processed into drawn wire. Fagersta Stainless has a turnover of approximately 160 million Euros and around 250 employees. Our products are sold worldwide directly from us or through a network of representatives. Fagersta Stainless is part of the Marcegaglia group, a global leader in steel manufacturing.

As a developer with us, you will be an important part of our journey towards smarter and more automated processes – where you will work with both existing and develop new production-related IT systems.

Your mission

In this role, you will work throughout the development chain – from requirements analysis and problem-solving to implementation and management of systems that have a direct impact on our production. You will have significant responsibility and the freedom to plan your work while collaborating closely with the business.

For example, you will:

Develop and maintain business-critical production systems
Identify needs and requirements from the business and translate them into smart solutions
Integrate systems in the production environment with, for example, ERP and other systems
Optimize and improve existing systems for increased efficiency
Collaborate with the production team to ensure that the solutions match real needs
Collect, process, and present data from the production process

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and experience working with system development close to production. You are solution-oriented, curious, and enjoy having overall responsibility.

We believe you have:

Education in system development or equivalent experience
Several years of experience in C#, Visual Studio, T-SQL Server, Power BI; other programming languages are a plus
Understanding of production processes and industrial environments
Experience with user interfaces (HMI), machine interfaces, and technologies such as OPC and IBA is a plus
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
