Combitech's communication consultants possess Sweden's largest collective expertise in network technology and work to secure communication and information flows, ensuring they function both in everyday life and in crisis situations. Combitech is now making an investment in this area and is therefore looking for more consultants who want to be challenged and develop together with us in exciting projects, both in the public and private sectors.

Your role as a Systems Engineer

There is a growing demand for robust communication solutions among our customers, both military and civilian. Combitech designs and delivers robust communication solutions and assists our clients with studies regarding the future of communication, for example within the defense sector. With this increased demand comes a need for more employees who share our vision of development and who want to share their specialist knowledge with clients and colleagues to enhance the value of what we deliver.

In this role, you will primarily work with the Armed Forces' or civilian communication solutions and communication systems. We work both on larger delivery projects and smaller assignments, always in close collaboration with our clients. The work involves the development of server solutions intended for network monitoring, and includes aspects such as IT security, technical design solutions, as well as verification and documentation. Travel of varying lengths is included in the position, for example to client facilities or to suppliers.

Who are you?

You have a civil or university engineering degree or equivalent competence and preferably experience in system design and system work focused on network technology and server solutions. We welcome both those who have several years of experience in the field and those who are just starting their careers.

We believe that you have experience in areas such as server solutions (Windows and/or Linux), scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible), and management of AD and GPO. You have knowledge of VMware vSphere and container solutions as well as routing and switching. In IT security, you have experience in hardening operating systems, network security, PKI, VPN, firewalls, encryption, and log management.

Knowledge of networks and NMS systems within the Armed Forces is an advantage, as is experience with various NMS products such as Zabbix, HP IMC, and Cisco LiveNX.

As a person, you are driven, have the ability to inspire those around you, and a desire to develop within your area of expertise. You are social and can engage with different types of people, as well as being meticulous, independent, and committed. You have experience in teamwork and understand the importance of being an effective project member. The work requires a great deal of personal responsibility, and we see that you are not averse to working practically both on-site and in a lab environment when required. The role as a consultant also includes the creation of specifications, maintenance documents, and verification of deliveries.

As the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
