Object Specialist Wanted at the Assistive Technology Center in Region Västmanland
Do you want to combine your technical knowledge with a meaningful role where you make a real difference in people's lives? The Assistive Technology Center in Region Västmanland is now looking for a dedicated and proactive Object Specialist.
About the Workplace
The Assistive Technology Center works across the region with procurement, information, consultation, inventory management, and service of assistive devices for people with mobility impairments, cognitive disabilities, and communication difficulties, as well as being responsible for coordinating incontinence aids. The operation is revenue-funded and politically governed by a joint committee with representatives from the region and the 10 municipalities in the county.
The position for this role is in Västerås. Our IT environment is critical for logistics and prescription processes to function, which is why the Assistive Technology Center has its own operational IT support.
Our employees are our most important resource, and we want you to thrive, feel good, and develop with us. We offer you:
- an outward-facing role with many points of contact
- to be an important part of the digital and technical development
- to be part of a team with knowledgeable colleagues in a good collaborative climate
- a varied and stimulating job where you have the opportunity to work independently, drive projects, and take responsibility
- opportunities for internal and external training
- free training at our fully equipped gym and a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year.
Job Responsibilities
We at the Assistive Technology Center welcome you to our operational support, which works to support our operations in various areas.
We are now looking for someone with high IT competence who can understand complex system flows. You are passionate about development and have a strong interest in system management.
As an object specialist, your responsibilities include administering, maintaining, and driving the development of our systems in close collaboration with the object manager, suppliers, and the organization. The tasks are primarily related to our operational system Sesam 2. For example, ensuring operations, training users, configuring, troubleshooting, reporting, and managing integrations.
More extensive improvement work often takes place in project form in collaboration with other professional groups such as purchasing, assistive technology consultants, technicians, and logistics personnel. Our common goal is effective workflows and processes in the organization.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education, such as a systems engineer, engineering degree with an IT focus, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent, along with several years of experience in the field.
We prefer candidates who have experience working in larger organizations with high demands for document control and security. In your role as an object specialist, you need to be able to understand the management of logistics and assistive device systems and see the connections between operations and IT.
You have a good ability to communicate and collaborate with both colleagues and suppliers, so you must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. You are service-oriented, accommodating, and contribute to a good working atmosphere.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability as the role requires a lot of self-drive and curiosity combined with discipline and structure.
Meritorious for the Position
- if you have experience and good knowledge of the major systems currently in management, Sesam 2, Visma Websesam, Sesam LMN Insight Data Warehouse, and associated reporting tools. We call it the Sesam family
- if you have experience in system administrative work, system configurations, and problem analyses of IT systems within the healthcare or logistics sector
- if you have experience with Microsoft tools, such as Power Automate, Power BI, and Report Builder.
Employment Conditions
Permanent employment, full-time, daytime. Location: Västerås.
