Frontend Developer at Akkodis!

We are looking for an experienced frontend developer for a long-term consulting assignment in advanced industrial software. You will be part of a dedicated IO team responsible for the development and maintenance of a critical desktop application for configuring industrial networks (Ethernet and Safety) in a globally used robotic control system.

The role suits you who thrive in technically complex environments where stability, quality, and system understanding are as important as modern development.

The application is a central part of a larger automation and control system. To meet increasing demands for quality, testability, and further development, we need a consultant who can quickly contribute to development, technical discussions, and improvement work in a cross-functional team.

Your Responsibilities

Development and further development of frontend in C#/.NET/WPF.
Close collaboration with backend developers, system design, and testing functions.
Ensure high quality through robust architecture and testable code.
Participate in troubleshooting, analysis, and technical decisions.
Contribute to improvements in testing and automation where relevant.

We are looking for someone who has

Strong and documented experience in C#/.NET and WPF in desktop development.
Experience with C/C++.
Ability to work systematically in complex software systems.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English.
Ability to work on-site in Västerås at least 4 days a week.

Desirable and Particularly Valuable

Experience in test automation, for example:

Development and maintenance of test frameworks for desktop applications.
Integration of automated tests in CI/CD flows.
UI, integration, or system testing in C#/.NET.

Knowledge of industrial networks, Safety systems, or related protocols.
Experience with real-time systems or larger distributed software platforms.
