We are looking for a senior systems engineer with specialist expertise in networks and communication systems for a long-term assignment in the defense industry. The role is central to the development and operation of secure and robust communication solutions for both land and airborne platforms. You will work in cross-functional teams with high demands on operational reliability and IT security, from technical requirements and integration to deployment and documentation.

• Design, further develop, and maintain communication solutions for defense-related platforms
• Integrate and configure network components, such as routers, switches, and VoIP systems
• Ensure IT security in system and network environments
• Participate in system integration, deployment, and technical support, including training and documentation
• Conduct system testing, requirements analysis, and technical reporting
• Participate in security reviews according to applicable regulations

• At least 7 years of relevant experience as a systems engineer in networks and communication
• Experience working in the defense industry or armed forces
• Very good knowledge of network equipment and communication technology, including VoIP
• Experience in system integration and operation of complex technical systems
• Knowledge of IT security, including firewalls, VPN, cryptographic equipment, and network monitoring
• Ability to create clear technical documentation
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience working in classified environments
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted)

• Certifications such as CCNA and CCNP
• Experience with Cisco CUCM and other VoIP infrastructure
• Experience in signal protection and cryptographic management
• Experience in training technical staff
• Familiarity with tools such as NMAP, SolarWinds, Wireshark, or HP NNM
