Experienced Network Architect for Region Västmanland

Job Responsibilities

As an employee with us, you will operate in a large IT environment where you will encounter many different questions that are exciting, varied, and developmental. You will work proactively and be responsible for planning future environments for IT communication.

A major and exciting project currently underway within Region Västmanland is the construction of a new emergency hospital, where you and your team are heavily involved in planning and execution. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and expansion of network infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Your tasks will also include ensuring and further developing the architecture of LAN/WAN/WLAN in accordance with technical requirements and the needs of the operations. Monitoring of network and communication solutions, firewalls, and some system management is also included.

About the Workplace

The position is located at the Technical Platform, which is a unit within Region Västmanland's IT organization. The Technical Platform is responsible for the operation, management, and development of the region's IT environment concerning networks, servers, security, and telecommunication.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, we prefer that you have worked in complex and larger network environments for 10 years or more. The following skills and work experience are also requested for the position:

• Development of IT infrastructure solution designs and knowledge of LAN, WAN, network architecture
• IP-based networks and deep understanding of the function and configuration of Cisco routers and Cisco switches
• Scripting/programming
• Catalyst center
• IT security in network environments
• Firewalls
• VPN
• Log management
• Wireless infrastructure and interpretation of measurement results
• In-depth and detailed documentation
• Experience working in the public sector

We prefer that you are Cisco CCNP certified. Other certifications, such as those within FortiNet, are advantageous. Absolute requirements are a B driver's license and a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

To succeed with the challenges and demands placed upon you, you need to be proactive, self-driven, flexible, stress-resistant, relationship-building, and have the ability and willingness to solve problems. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time. Start date according to agreement. Possibility of remote work is available. Scheduled on-call duty is included in the position.

The position is security-classified, and in connection with recruitment and appointment to the position, a security review will be conducted, including a security interview, in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position therefore requires Swedish citizenship.
