Project Manager - Software Development

Welcome to the Fuel Engineering team at Westinghouse. We are 25 employees in roles such as Project Managers and Fuel and Development Engineers who together lead projects towards customers and development projects.

Your contribution to a carbon-free future

As a Project Manager here with us, your responsibility is to manage software development projects. Among other things, this means that you will:

• Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, using waterfall or Agile methodologies.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide regular project status updates to senior management, highlighting important achievements, risks, and next steps.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

In addition to your daily tasks, we hope to see you foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and improve process enhancements.

You will be based in Västerås and will have a hybrid work schedule.

We are looking for you

To be a good match for this role, we believe that you are good at communication and collaboration as the work includes teamwork within and outside of our organization. You have experience in project management and are motivated to learn more about the nuclear industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in software development.
• Knowledge of waterfall, hybrid, and Agile methodologies.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar.

Meritorious:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience from the nuclear energy sector.
• Project Management certifications (PMP, SAFE, Scrum Master, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Swedish or another European language.
